Jennifer's Shepherd's Pie
- 2 12 lbs beef shoulder, ground or 2 12 lbs ground sirloin
- 33 butter flavored crackers, like Ritz (1 sleeve)
- 3 celery ribs, finely chopped
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced or 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons celery salt (no substitute)
- 2 teaspoons marjoram
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon milk
- steamed carrots or frozen peas or corn, do not use beans
- mashed potatoes, made with butter
- FYI, she ground a beef shoulder roast in her food processor and it was awesome.
- I wonder if a butcher would do it for those who don't own one.
- Combine everything except the steamed carrots and mashed potatoes.
- Cook in a 9 x 13 pan at 375F for 30 minutes.
- Layer vegetables over cooked meat.
- Cover everything with mashed potatoes.
