Pepper Cheese Beer Bread
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 9 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli Hot Pepper Cheese, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup beer, at room temperature
- 1/3 cup Land O Lakes Butter, melted
- 2 Land O Lakes Eggs, slightly beaten
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Grease 9x5-inch loaf pan; set aside.
- Combine flour, whole wheat flour, 1 cup cheese, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in bowl.
- Stir in beer, butter and eggs just until moistened.
- Spoon batter into prepared pan.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake 45-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.
- Let stand on cooling rack 10 minutes.
- Serve warm.
