Herbed Beer Bread Recipe
- 1 can beer, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon butter, melted
- 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp. baking pwdr
- Healthy pinch of dry dill weed
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 2 tbsp. white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- BREAD MIX: In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking pwdr, salt, oregano, thyme and dill weed.
- (Pack into air tight container or possibly bag.
- Mix keeps one month.)
- TO MAKE BREAD: Place fold in large bowl, with wooden spoon, stir in beer just till flour is mixed in.
- Pour into greased 8 x 4 inch loaf pan.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 min or possibly till crusty and golden.
- Let stand in pan for 5 min; turn out onto rack.
- Brush top with butter.
- Makes 1 loaf.
