Pecan Pie Surprise Bars (gluten-free)

  1. Spray 13x9 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Reserve 2/3 cup of cake mix for filling.
  3. In large mixing bowl, combine remaining cake mix, butter, & 1 egg.
  4. Mix until crumbly.
  5. Press into prepared pan.
  6. Bake @ 350F for 15-20 minutes, until light brown.
  7. Meanwhile prepare filling in a large mixing bowl by mixing the reserve cake mix, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, & 3 eggs.
  8. Beat @ medium speed for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Pour filling over partially baked crust.
  10. Sprinkle with pecans.
  11. Return to oven.
  12. Bake 30-35 minutes in 375F oven or til filling is set.
  13. Then cool before cutting.
