Grilled Tomatoes & Basil Pita Bread

  1. Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
  2. Brush pita bread lightly with butter.
  3. Evenly sprinkle each pita with tomatoes, green onions and basil.
  4. Top each pita with 2 to 3 tablespoons cheese.
  5. Place pita bread onto grill.
  6. Grill 6-8 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  7. Cut each pita into wedges.
  8. *Substitute 6 (7- to 8-inch) flour or corn tortillas.
  9. **Substitute 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves.
