Pesto Genovese from Fresh Basil
- 100 grams Basil (leaves only)
- 40 grams Pine nuts
- 1 small clove Garlic
- 4 Anchovies
- 150 ml Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 dash Salt
- Wash off the dirt on the basil leaves if necessary.
- Wipe off the excess moisture well.
- You don't need to wash the basil leaves if they are clean!
- If your pine nuts are unroasted, roast them lightly in a frying pan.
- Let them cool down.
- Put all the ingredients except for the basil in a food processor or blender.
- Blend until a paste forms.
- Then add the basil leaves to the blender.
- Once the basil has been incorporated, your pesto is done.
- It's easy to grow basil!
- You only need to sow basil seeds in spring or early summer, and they will grow.
- The basil in my place has grown well.
