creamed chicken marsala
- 4 chicken breasts
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms
- 3/4 cup marsala wine
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp red curry
- 1/4 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh sweet basil
- 1 cayenne pepper to taste (optional)
- 1 pinch sea salt (to taste)
- 1 fresh cracked pepper
- in a large skillet melt butter over medium heat add mushrooms and cook until tender remove and set aside.
- pound chicken breast to a medium thickness season with salt and pepper on both sides add to skillet an cook through remove and rest.
- add mushrooms back to skillet stir in marsala wine, rosemary, sweet basil, heavy cream, and cayenne pepper stir until incorporated and bring to a boil, reduce heat and stir.
- plate chicken and pour sauce over top and enjoy.
