Chocolate Nut Tart

  1. Preheat oven to 350F Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
  2. Do not grease.
  3. In a bowl, combine vanilla wafers, 1/3 cup butter, and granulated sugar.
  4. Pour mixture into prepared pan, and press mixture evenly over the bottom and sides of the pan.
  5. In a large bowl, beat eggs with a fork.
  6. Stir in corn syrup.
  7. Add brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter, and vanilla and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  8. Stir in almonds and chocolate.
  9. Place prepared pan on a baking sheet.
  10. Carefully pour filling into pan and bake in a 350F oven for 40 minutes.
  11. Remove the outer ring of the springform pan before presentation.
