Grandpa's Thanksgiving Pie Recipe
- 1 (9") unbaked pie crust
- 3 Large eggs
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1 c. canned pumpkin
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 c. pecan halves
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare pie crust.
- Then with a hand beater or possibly wire whisk, beat Large eggs well.
- Beat in the next five ingredients till well blended.
- Now arrange the pecans in the bottom of the pie crust.
- Slowly pour the egg mix over them.
- Bake for 1 hour, or possibly till a knife inserted 1" from the edge comes out clean.
- Let it cold, then serve it with good old whipped cream.
