Gingery Chicken and Tofu Hot Pot
- 1 Scallions, grated ginger
- 1 Chicken thigh meat
- 1 block Any kind of tofu
- 1 bunch Any kind of greens
- 600 ml Water
- 2 tsp Chicken stock (granules)
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tsp ~ give or take 1 dash Salt
- Cut the greens and tofu to a size of your liking.
- Cut the chicken thigh meat into bite sized pieces and sprinkle with just a little bit of sake.
- Fill an earthenware or iron pot with the water and soup stock and heat.
- Once the water starts boiling put in the chicken and the ingredients.
- Then when it starts to boil again add in the tofu, put the green in right before serving.
- Check to see if it needs more salt, otherwise, once the ingredients have been fully cooked it's ready.
- Don't forget to skim off the scum that rises to the surface.
- Garnish with scallions and ginger.
- That should be enough flavoring for the soup so it's ready to eat.
