Homemade Hamburger Helper
- 1 pound All-natural Ground Beef
- 2 cups Wide Egg Noodles
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Water
- 3 Tablespoons Watkins Beef Soup Base
- 1 teaspoon Watkins Sea Salt
- 1/2 cups Cauliflower Puree
- 1 cup Diced Broccoli Florets
- 1.
- In a large saucepan, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Drain fat.
- 2.
- Add egg noodles, milk, water, soup base, and salt.
- Stir well.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes or until noodles are al dente, stirring occasionally.
- 3.
- Add cauliflower puree.
- (To make this, puree cooked cauliflower and a bit of water using a powerful blender.
- You can then freeze any leftover cauliflower puree in ice-cube trays.
- Five cubes equals approximately 1/2 cup puree.)
- *Note: the recipe will turn out fine and will taste great without the cauliflower, but it adds a nice boost of nutrients.
- 4.
- Add diced broccoli florets.
- Stir mixture to blend vegetables.
- Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
