Homemade Hamburger Helper

  2. In a large saucepan, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Drain fat.

  5. Add egg noodles, milk, water, soup base, and salt.
  6. Stir well.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes or until noodles are al dente, stirring occasionally.

  10. Add cauliflower puree.
  11. (To make this, puree cooked cauliflower and a bit of water using a powerful blender.
  12. You can then freeze any leftover cauliflower puree in ice-cube trays.
  13. Five cubes equals approximately 1/2 cup puree.)
  14. *Note: the recipe will turn out fine and will taste great without the cauliflower, but it adds a nice boost of nutrients.

  16. Add diced broccoli florets.
  17. Stir mixture to blend vegetables.
  18. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  19. Serve hot.
