Homemade Almond Milk All-Natural and Healthy

  1. Place almonds in a bowl and cover with 1 inch of cold water.
  2. Soak them, uncovered, overnight or up to 2 days.
  3. Drain the almonds and rinse under cool running water.
  4. Place 2 cups of almonds in a blender and cover with 3 cups of water.
  5. Blend at the highest speed for 2 minutes.
  6. At this point the water should be white and opaque.
  7. Strain the mixture using a cheese cloth, kitchen towel or sprout bag.
  8. Rinse the blender and pour the milk back in.
  9. Add the desired flavorings and sweeteners and blend to combine.
  10. Transfer the milk to a glass jar or pitcher.
  11. Place the remaining 1 cup of almonds in the blender and add the remaining 2 cups of water.
  12. Blend and strain the mixture.
  13. Transfer the milk into the glass jar or pitcher with the first batch of milk.
  14. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  15. Serve almond milk on its own or enjoy it with cookies, cereal or smoothies.
