Goan Fish Gheezad

  1. Salt the fish and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Put in the onion and saute it until transparent.
  4. Add tomatoes, garlic and green chilies and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Add garam masala and vinegar and stir-fry for another minute.
  6. Place fish steaks in pan and add tamarind water, salt and sugar.
  7. Cook on a slow fire, shaking the pan every now and then, for 15 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with boiled vegetables.
