Aunt Betty's Ham Loaf With Glaze
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons catsup
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups soft white breadcrumbs
- 1 12 lbs ground cooked ham
- 1 lb ground cooked pork
- 14 cup green onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 14 cup margarine
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard (we use Coleman's)
- 2 tablespoons dry mustard
- 1 cup pineapple chunk (optional)
- Preheat oven to 300F.
- In large bowl, combine milk, egg, catsup, mustard, pepper.
- Stir in bread crumbs and let stand 10 minutes.
- Add cooked ground ham and cooked ground pork, onion, parsley.
- Mix well.
- Bake 60 minutes with aluminum foil loosely on top.
- Cover with glaze(directions follow) and bake 15-25 minutes more.
- Glaze:.
- Drain pineapple, put juice from pineapple in small saucepan.
- Add butter and all ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, simmer uncovered five minutes
- Add pineapple chunks, if desired.
