Chicken Paprikash

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a large skillet, saute onion in butter until tender.
  3. Sprinkle chicken with paprika, salt and pepper; place in an ungreased roasting pan.
  4. Spoon onion mixture over chicken.
  5. Add hot water.
  6. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours, or until chicken juices run clear.
  7. Remove chicken from pan and keep warm.
  8. In a small saucepan, combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth.
  9. Whisk in with pan juices and onions.
  10. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  11. Remove from the heat.
  12. Stir in the sour cream.
  13. Serve over the chicken.
