Bachelor's Stew
- 2 pounds beef chuck cubed
- 13 cup bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large onions cut in eighths
- 3 each carrots peeled, split
- 4 stalks celery cut up
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 13 cup tapioca, quick-cooking
- 4 ounces mushrooms sliced
- 2 cans soup, tomato
- 1 cup beef stock
- Wipe beef cubes well.
- Combine bread crumbs with salt and pepper and toss with beef.
- Place coated beef cubes in Crock-Pot and add remaining ingredients; stir well.
- Cover and cook on Low for 10 to 12 hours or on High for 3 to 5 hours.
