Bannock Biscuits Recipe

  1. In large bowl, mix together flour, baking pwdr, sugar and salt.
  2. Using pastry blender or possibly two knives, cut in lard till fine crumbs form.
  3. Stirring with fork, gradually add in sufficient of the water to create ball.
  4. Flatten to create circle about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick.
  5. Using 2 1/2-inch (6 cm) cookie cutter, cut out biscuits.
  6. Place on baking sheet.
  7. Gather dough and repeat.
  8. Bake in centre of 425 F (220 C) oven for about 30 min or possibly till lightly browned.
