Crunchy Puncy
- 3 small pkg. Jell-O (strawberry)
- 13 c. boiling water
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 (16 oz.) bottle lemon juice
- 2 (46 oz.) cans pineapple juice
- ginger ale, 7-Up or Sprite
- Dissolve the Jell-O in 9 cups of the boiling water.
- Combine the sugar with the other 4 cups of boiling water and bring to a quick boil.
- Add sugar and water mixture to Jell-O mixture and set aside to cool.
- When cool, add lemon juice and pineapple juice. Mix well and freeze in plastic containers or milk cartons.
- When ready to serve, place bucket in hot water to loosen or let set outside freezer until it loosens.
- Put punch in bowl.
- Add the ginger ale, 7-Up or Sprite.
- The punch may be slightly broken up with a large knife, but since it does not freeze solid like ice, the soda usually makes it just right to serve.
- Serves 50 punch cups.
