Nut and Poppy Seed Kolachki

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. DOUGH:.
  3. Mix oleo, flour, and cream cheese together; refrigerate 2 hours.
  4. FILLING:.
  5. Mix together 2/3 cup of sugar with either the walnuts or poppy seed.
  6. Beat egg whites until stiff; add to filling mixture.
  7. Remove dough from refrigerator; roll out on powdered sugar surface.
  8. Cut into 2 inch strips; fill.
  9. Fold both sides in over the filling.
  10. Cut and bake folded side down.
  11. Bake 10-15 minutes.
  12. Cool on wire racks.
  13. Store tightly covered; dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  14. Bake at 350 degrees.
