Breakfast Casserole Recipe
- 6 lrg croissants sliced lengthwise
- 1 x (18-oz) jar orange marmalade
- 1/2 c. of peach preserves
- 3 ounce orange juice
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange zest
- 5 x Large eggs, beaten
- 1 c. half-and-half
- 1 tsp almond extract
- Thin orange slices and strawberries for garnish
- Place lower halves of croissants in buttered baking dish.
- Beat together orange marmalade, peach preserves orange juice and orange zest.
- Spoon two-thirds of mix over croissant bottoms.
- Place croissant tops on bottoms.
- Beat together Large eggs, half-and-half and 1 tsp.
- of almond extract.
- Pour over croissants.
- Spoon remaining marmalade mix over croissants to glaze.
- Chill overnight.
- The next morning, bake in a preheated, 350 degree oven for 25 min.
- Let stand 5 min to hard up before serving.
- Garnish with thin orange slice twists and strawberries.
