Cuban Fries
- 30 ounces, weight Frozen French Fries
- 3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 3 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 2 cups Milk
- 8 ounces, weight Swiss Cheese
- 1 cup Diced Cooked Ham
- 1/4 cups Diced Dill Pickle Slices
- 1/2 Tablespoons Yellow Mustard
- Bake french fries as directed.
- Meanwhile, to prepare the sauce, melt butter in a medium size saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the butter is melted, whisk in the flour.
- It will be thick.
- Pour in milk and stir to combine, and as it heats, it will continue thickening slightly.
- Add the cheese and continue to stir as the cheese melts.
- Once the cheese is completely melted, continue to stir.
- When the sauce is thick, remove from heat.
- To assemble the fries, top the fries with the diced ham, diced pickle, drizzle with cheese sauce and mustard.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
