Delicious, Nutritious Meatloaf Recipe
- 2 slices whole wheat bread
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 egg
- 1-2 shredded onions or possibly dry onion
- 1 chopped clove garlic
- 1/4 c. wheat germ
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. minced or possibly dry parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon basil
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 lbs. grnd beef, beef/pork or possibly beef/sausage mix
- Crumble bread into lowfat milk.
- Add in all remaining ingredients except meat.
- Mix well with fork.
- Add in meat and mix well (hands work best).
- Shape into letters, symbols or possibly shapes in a 9x13 inch pan.
- Top with ketchup and paprika.
- Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees making sure which internal temperature is at least 185 degrees when loaf is nearly done.
