Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. regular oats, uncooked
- 1 c. crisp rice cereal
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans
- Cream butter and oil; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed.
- Add egg and vanilla.
- Combine flour, soda, salt and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
- Stir in oats and remaining ingredients.
- Drop dough by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool on wire racks.
- Yields 10 dozen.
