Spicy Turkey Burgers

  1. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan, and saute the onion, jalapeno and garlic until just softened, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, combine this mixture with the turkey, cilantro, egg and spices.
  4. You will probably want to use your hands to get a good consistency!
  5. Form into 4 equal-sized patties, and cook on a grill pan coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  6. (Remember, unlike ground beef, ground turkey must be cooked completely.
  7. Depending on the heat of your grill, that should take about 6 minutes per side.)
  8. I served these on wheat buns, with a little chipotle sour cream, arugula and melted cheddar.
  9. They would also be great with salsa, bbq sauce, tomato, etc.

ground turkey, onion, garlic, handful of cilantro, egg, gound cumin, chili powder, salt
