Cheese-Stuffed Turkey Meatball Sliders
- 8 ounces, weight Block Of Mozzarella Cheese (though You May Not Need It All)
- 1 pound Ground Turkey Breast
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1/2 cups Italian Bread Crumbs
- 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic (the Kind From A Jar)
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasonings
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Pepper
- 13 cups Grated Parmesan Cheese (I Used Kraft)
- 3 cups Marinara Sauce, Divided Use
- 12 Slider Buns
- 6 slices Provolone Cheese (I Split Each Slice In Half For Each Slider)
- 1.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2.
- Cut the mozzarella block into cubes.
- Set aside.
- 3.
- In a large bowl, mix together all of the remaining ingredients except marinara sauce, buns, and sliced provolone.
- (Note: You may have to use more breadcrumbs.
- The goal is for the mixture to be sticky, but not ridiculously sticky.)
- 4.
- Grease a baking dish with cooking spray and put 2 cups of the marinara sauce into the dish.
- 5.
- Get about a golfball-sized chunk of the meat mixture and flatten it slightly in order to place a cube of mozzarella in the center.
- Gently wrap the meat around the cube of cheese.
- Place the ball into the baking dish.
- Repeat with the remaining meat mixture and cheese.
- 6.
- When all of the balls are made, spoon the remaining marinara on top of the balls and stick them all in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
- (Its totally okay if the mozzarella squirts out of the ball.)
- 7.
- When done cooking, serve on slider rolls (or dinner rolls) topped with extra marinara sauce (you should have about 1 cup remaining marinara sauce) and a slice of provolone cheese (or mozzarella).
- Enjoy!
