Apfelkuchen Recipe
- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 3 ounce sugar
- 1 1/8 c. hot lowfat milk
- 5 lrg peeled, cored, sliced apples
- 1 pkt dry yeast
- 1 pkt vanilla-sugar
- 3 ounce room temperature butter
- 1 dsh salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 dsh salt
- 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 c. butter
- Mix all ingredients (except apples).
- Then blend on high for 5 min.
- Let dough rest for 5 min.
- Grease cookie sheet and with greased hands, pat dough into the pan.
- Place apples on the dough and push in lightly.
- Let rise in a hot place for 30 min.
- TOPPING:Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt; cut in butter till mix is crumbly.
- Sprinkle over apples.
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Bake 20-30 min or possibly till brown.
