Mayonnaise Flavored Chikuwa Piccata

  1. Cut the chikuwa into half lengthwise.
  2. For bento, also cut into 2-3 pieces crosswise.
  3. Beat the egg in a bowl.
  4. Add chopped scallions and a small amount of soy sauce, and mix together.
  5. Add the mayonnaise into a pan, and turn on the heat.
  6. When the mayonnaise starts to melt, dip the chikuwa into the Step 2 egg mixture, and pan-fry.
  7. Pour the rest of the egg mixture over the chikuwa.
  8. While frying them, flip over once in a while.
  9. When the egg is cooked through, it's done.
