Hot And Spicy Breakfast Biscuits Recipe
- 4 1/2 c. biscuit mix
- 1 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 8 ounce. cooked "warm" sausage
- 1 tbsp. jalapeno pepper, finely diced
- 1/4 c. minced green bell pepper
- 1/8 c. minced red bell pepper
- 1/4 c. minced green onion with tops
- 2 c. Sargento "Natural Sharp Shredded Cheddar Cheese"
- Brown and drain sausage; cold.
- Chop onions and peppers.
- Blend biscuit mix with lowfat milk.
- Mix well, add in sausage, peppers, onion, and Cheddar cheese.
- Continue to blend.
- Knead dough till easy to handle.
- Add in a little more biscuit mix if necessary.
- Dust surface with additional biscuit mix.
- Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness -- cut with 2 inch biscuit cutter.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in preheated 400 degree oven for 20-25 min.
- Makes 20 biscuits.
- Mild sausage or possibly minced ham may be substituted.
