An Economical Dish: Pork, Bean Sprouts, and Tofu Sukiyaki-don Rice Bowl

  1. These are all the ingredients!
  2. If the pork is already already cut into easy to eat pieces, you don't even need a cutting board.
  3. If the pork pieces are big, cut into bite sized pieces.
  4. Put all the ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil.
  5. Add the pork and simmer while coating it with the sauce.
  6. When the meat is cooked through, add the bean sprouts.
  7. Cover with a lid and simmer for about 2 minutes.
  8. Open the lid, and add the tofu while crumbling it up with your hands.
  9. Mix everything together.
  10. When it is bubbling, it's done.
  11. Put some rice in a bowl, spoon on plenty of the mixture from Step 3, top with an onsen egg (microwaved) and enjoy.
  12. To make the onsen egg: put 50 ml of water and 1 egg in a mug, cover with a small plate and microwave for 50 seconds at 500 W.
